SRU program
I am just wondering how many of you out there are going all the way through the sru program. I am in need of 24 credits for perminant certification. Obviously the program is 30 so i do not need to take all the classes. The pay difference is only about $400 a year for a master's degree. My question is how many of you are not going through the whole program? I am up in the air about what i am going to do. Just wanted some feedback from those of you in the same situation.

I think it would be beneficial to finish what you have started. It is nice to have the entitlement of a masters PE teacher. Extra monies do add up. I am going through and I am looking into a PHD in PE.
Having just graduated from SRU in May 2008 with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education, I am continuing my education right away with my Masters in PE. I am going through all the way and hopefully will graduate in the Spring Semester 2010. I think this will open up other options for me such as teaching PE at a community college. I would then like to earn a doctorate so that eventually I can teach future health and physical education teachers. I would like to supervise student teachers and also teach an elementary methods class. So I definitely would suggest finishing what you have begun!
